Be Well, Learn Well is an excellent toolkit for navigating university, packed with useful and practical ideas to help students look after their mental wellbeing and learn effectively. A must-read for any student!
Be Well, Learn Well delivers its message with warmth and humour. This book will empower students to take control of their studies and their mental health, and in so doing get the most out of their time at university.
A vital resource for university students, which offers practical, accessible approaches and information to support their wellbeing in a constructive and manageable way. This book will be a core component of the tools I use to support my students on a day-to-day basis.
This book is informative, engaging and research-informed, and the friendly tone makes it very accessible to students. It includes a wide range of practical study and wellbeing strategies, making it very useful for all students and also relevant to the staff who support them.
As they go through education, many young people imbibe the idea that their mental health is completely unrelated to, or even at odds with, their academic learning. What Gareth Hughes has done with this book is not only to thoroughly debunk this myth using solid evidence, but also show practical ways students can avoid burnout, improve both their learning and health outcomes. I really wish I'd had a copy of this before I went to uni.
