Omschrijving

This innovative and carefully designed photographic pocket-sized guide provides a concise introduction to the identification of the 246 birds most likely to be seen in Great Britain and Ireland.

"One of British Birds' Best Bird Books of 2019"

"This is a fantastic piece of work . . . . [It] manages to cram a huge amount of information in the pages without it feeling too cluttered or overwhelming. The text is concise but thorough enough to help with identification . . . . this is a must have for new and seasoned birders alike."---Scott Mayson, British Trust for Ornithology

"The book is packed with quality colour photographs, no mean feat to gather so many images together for one book, with at least two images per species sometimes more. . . this a great pocket guide to British Birds and I would certainly recommend it to anyone getting into birds and birdwatching."---Alan Davies, BirdwatchingTrips

"Well thought out and structured to assist the reader. . . . another one of the top quality bargain books we have come to expect from Princeton's WildGuides series."---Phil Slade, Another Bird Blog

"The best bird identification guide I have seen, ever."---Jim Williams, Star Tribune

"These carefully curated photographs are the conclusive answer to any who said that photos cannot illustrate identification features. . . . It is a treasure trove: the pages pack in a wealth of images."---Thomas Wingfield, London Naturalist

"First, it is a compact guide suitable to slip into a pocket . . . Second, it is lively and inspiring, full of real birds that you want to go out and identify. Third it is relatively inexpensive, and with a durable cover. In short, it is a great guide for beginners to take in the field . . . Even for more experienced birders there are details that make it worth keeping handy."---Will Cresswell, Scottish Birds

"This is a fantastic book packed with useful information and stunning photographs. It will be a welcome addition to the beginner, intermediate and expert alike. This is one of the best bird books I have seen for a long time, and I would certainly recommend it. A fine complement to any birdwatcher's collection."---Neville Davies, Wild About Gwent

"At a handy five inches by seven inches [this book] slips easily in the pocket and is also ideal for the kitchen shelf. . . . a perfect . . . gift at a bargain price."---Eric Brown, News Shopper Bexleyheath & Welling

"

I must say I was blown away! Not only are the photographs of the highest quality but the designers have crammed an incredible amount of information into what is literally a coat pocket sized book. . . . this is an excellent and outstanding
book and at no more than a tenner that is great value for money.
