Sam B. Edwards III, obtained his Juris Doctor from the Northwestern School of Law of Lewis and Clark College and his LLM. in international environmental law from Nagoya University, Graduate School of Law in Nagoya Japan. He is a professor of environmental law and policy at Green Mountain College in Vermont, USA and a visiting professor of law at Thammasat University in Bangkok, Thailand. Professor Edwards holds a license to practice law in California, the Territory of Guam, The Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, and Yap State in the Federated States of Micronesia. Professor Edwards' research focuses on the intersection of law, culture, and technology. Professor Edwards has practiced, studied, and taught law in the United States, Kenya, The Federated States of Micronesia, Japan, and Thailand. He has published in the areas of law and culture, international trade in endangered species, business law, environmental valuation in Micronesia, and online business transactions for small and medium enterprises.

Diogo Santos, obtained his Bachelors of Laws in 2003 from the Federal University of Maranhúo, in Brazil, Diogo Santos was granted a Japanese Ministry of Education (MEXT) scholarship to pursue a masters of law degree at the Graduate Shcool of Law in 2007 and a PhD in International Development at the Graduate School of International Development in 2010, both at Nagoya University. Since returning to Brazil, Dr. Santos has served in various academic positions, such as Director of the School of Law of the State University of Maranhúo, professor of International Law, economics and Constitutional Theory at the Dom Bosco University in Súo Lu¡s, Brazil, and professor of International Law in the Federal University of Maranhúo, professor of Constitutional Law and Department Chair at Estacio College. Diogo has also published a number of articles in the fields of Intellectual Property Law, Environmental Law, Democracy, Legitimacy and Presidential decrees in various international journals.
