Im Zentrum steht die Abfolge der Bischöfe, doch werden auch Gebäude und Türme, Gräben und Wälle, Berge und Wälder, die Fruchtbarkeit des Bodens und die Güte der Luft behandelt, außerdem Sitten und Charakter der Bürger von Hildesheim, die Staatsform, die Schule (namentlich das Andreanum) und berühmte Gelehrte. "Zu diesen Vorteilen kommt hinzu, dass das Bier, das in Hildesheim gebraut wird, sowohl aus Weizen als auch aus Gerste, in seiner Art nicht ungesund, nicht unlieblich und dem Gaumen nicht unangenehm ist."Mokers "Hyldesia" ist nun erstmals vollständig in deutscher Übersetzung zugänglich. Das Buch sei eine Festgabe für das Hildesheimer Gymnasium Andreanum zu seiner 800-Jahr-Feier 2024/2025.
