But do we really know what it's doing to our bodies?Join Chris in his travels through the world of food science and a UPF diet to discover what's really going on. Find out why exercise and willpower can't save us, and what UPF is really doing to our bodies, our health, our weight, and the planet (hint: nothing good). For too long we've been told we just need to make different choices, when really we're living in a food environment that makes it nigh-on impossible. So this is a book about our rights. The right to know what we eat and what it does to our bodies and the right to good, affordable food.Number 1 Sunday Times bestseller, August 2023

Polymers
Chemistry, Morphology, Characterization, Processing,Technology and RecyclingDr. Mohamed Elzagheid is an Associate Professor of Organic Chemistry and was previously the Deputy of Education and Training Affairs at Jubail Industrial College. Prior to his current job at JIC, Dr. Elzagheid worked as the R & D Director at LPS Inc. in Canada. Dr. Elzagheid also has experience working as a post-doctoral fellow, visiting scientist, and research associate at McGill University in Canada, the lab director at SynPrep Inc. in Canada, and a senior research chemist at Perkin Elmer in Finland. Dr. Elzagheid’s work at Turku University in Finland, McGill University in Canada, and JIC in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has enabled him to solidify his reputation in the organic chemistry field, and nucleoside and oligonucleotide chemistry in particular; such is evident in Dr. Elzagheid’s research papers and publications (50+ peer-reviewed articles and 5 textbooks).

Radiation Protection and Radioactive Waste Management in the Design and Operation of Research Reactors
This Safety Guide provides recommendations on radiation protection and radioactive waste management in the design and operation of research reactors, to meet the relevant requirements of IAEA Safety Standards Series No. SSR-3, Safety of Research Reactors. It identifies important components that should be considered at the design stage with regard to facilitating radiation protection and radioactive waste management. It also recommends good practices in implementing operational radiation protection and radioactive waste management programmes, and in their optimization. This Safety Guide is a revision of IAEA Safety Standards Series No. NS-G-4.6, which it supersedes.

Computational Methods for the Multiscale Modelling of Soft Matter
Due to the hierarchical organization of morphology in soft materials and their slow dynamics, a single modelling technique does not suffice to simulate them. The wide range of modelling approaches available span many time and length scales, making it challenging for newcomers to the field to know how to critically assess the tools and to determine which is most appropriate for any given problem. This book provides a concise and clear description of a variety of simulation methods to model these ubiquitous materials. The list of techniques includes numerical and molecular modelling ones and covers several time and length scales.Along with the fundamental concepts of the theory behind the methods, a comprehensive set of examples taken from the broad pool of soft materials is included. These exemplify how, thanks to the increased computational resources nowadays available to almost any research group, computational methods have become a powerful tool to sit alongside other experimental characterizations and show their increasing relevance for the manufacturing sector. Chapters illustrate how modelling techniques can be used to aid interpretation of experimental data, and how experiments can be used to parameterise models. In addition to enabling informed decisions to be made about the modelling tools to adopt for a given problem, the book will enable those who might already be experts in one technique to transition to other tools more easily. This will become increasingly important as multiscale tools become increasingly sophisticated and sufficiently well developed to be used by more casual users of simulation tools.Bringing together all these modelling approaches and applications into one coherent volume, Computational Methods for the Multiscale Modelling of Soft Matter provides a one-stop resource that is written primarily for postgraduate students and researchers in materials science, computational physics and chemists and chemical engineering interested in learning about simulation methods for soft materials as polymers, surfactants, and colloids.
