Description

This book focuses on the understanding, use, and application of system dynamics simulation and virtual reality approaches for modelling the spatial and temporal behavior of natural and managed hydro-environmental systems.

Dr. Ramesh S.V. Teegavarapu (Dr. T.) is a professor, Fulbright scholar, and graduate program director in the Department of Civil, Environmental and Geomatics Engineering and founder of the Hydro systems Research Laboratory (HRL) at Florida Atlantic University. His main research interests include climate change and variability, hydroclimatic extremes, water, and environmental systems modeling and management, spatial hydrology, and hydrometeorology. Dr. T is an author, co-editor, and sole editor of several books on these topics.

Dr. Chandramouli V. Chandramouli is a Professor at Purdue University Northwest where he teaches hydrology and hydraulics courses. His expertise is in water resources and environmental modeling integrating artificial intelligence techniques, and his focus areas include reservoir operation and climate studies, flood modeling, and regional water quality analysis. He collaborated with the Center for Innovation and Visualization Center at Purdue University Northwest and developed virtual 3D lab modules for flooding in a real-world system, as well as groundwater contamination movement for classroom teaching.
