Kenneth Frampton is the Ware Professor of Architecture at Columbia University's Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation. Oscar Niemeyer, best known for his civic buildings in Brazil's capital Brasilia, was the recipient of the Pritzker Prize, the Royal Gold Medal of the Royal Institute of British Architects, and the Praemium Imperiale by the Japan Art Association. Norman Foster is the founder and chairman of Foster + Partners. He was awarded the Royal Gold Medal for Architecture and the American Institute of Architects Gold Medal, and is a Pritzker Architecture Prize Laureate. Frank Stella is an American painter, sculptor, and printmaker.
