Description
When playing pool, you are hitting the cue ball to sink the other balls and win the game. There is a lot going on in the game. You break the balls to begin the play. You make the contact. The cue ball hits the other balls, then they hit each other, and some of them may sink into the pocket. It's a very fun game, aligning up the angles, hitting the balls - even the sound of the clashing balls is part of it. Anyway, I think you get the point. We affect others, they affect others, and so on. It's a very interactive game. CUE is an acronym to help us remember the three "necessary and sufficient" core conditions for growth. It stands for Congruence, Unconditional positive regard, and Empathic understanding. It is about making connections with the heart. CUE is very important to improving our relationships and it comes from Person- Centered Therapy (PCT). CUE is not about techniques, it's all about relationships. Everybody can learn and use CUE in every situation. CUE is a tool we can use for more peaceful and fulfilled relationships. There will be conflict and a need to confront at times, but CUE will help us confront in a healthier way.
