This book introduces the issues of the contemporary state of Bihar, India, in terms of its performance on the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) indicators and the initiatives taken by the central and state governments towards realizing human development.
Dr. Utsav Kumar Singh is an assistant professor, Department of Economics, Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, University of Delhi. He completed his Post-Doctoral from the department of Political Science, University of Delhi under a grant from the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR). He is also a fellow at the Institute of Social Science, Delhi. His research interests include political economics, development studies, welfare economics, and human geography.
