Susanne Edelmann has 30 years of experience in the field of nephrology. Originally, a trained nurse, she worked as a dialysis nurse on hemodialysis for 5 years. Afterwards, she trained and cared for those affected with peritoneal dialysis for 7 years. She set up the psycho-nephrological counseling center at the St.Gallen Cantonal Hospital and then headed it for 16 years. Susanne Edelmann has diverse trainings in counseling and teaching and heads since 2018 the competence and counseling center "Living with Chronic Kidney Disease" (www.leben-mit-niereninsuffizienz.ch) in Switzerland.
