Description
Playing the Soprano Recorder provides teachers and students with a sequential and musical approach to learning Western music notation and soprano recorder playing.
The clarity and organization found in Dr. Lois Guderian’s recorder text is exceptional. Each lesson provides educators with a framework for applying the new National Standards for Music Education in a meaningful and deliberate way in teaching the recorder combined with other content areas of music education. Playing the Soprano Recorder is an excellent illustration of high-quality pedagogy and has proven to be a useful resource in preparing education majors and music education majors for the classroom.
