Description
Imagine. A world in the hands of the Chinese. A world in which the history of the West has been erased. A world of vast cities, made of a super-plastic called Ice. Set 200 years from now, but imbued with the rich cultural history of an ancient civilisation, Chung Kuo is an extraordinary future epic.
'Colossal. An absolutely frightening vision of the future.' Sunday Times;'One of the masterpieces of the decade.' Washington Post;’Why this epic continues to work so convincingly is because its social forces, and changes, within its China-oriented middle kingdom are clarified as cleverly as Asimov’s Foundation, while its characters give all that inexorable change a human dimension.’ The Times;‘A saga that may rival Frank Herbert’s Dune.’ Chicago Sun Times;'Compellingly ambitious.' Sunday Telegraph
