Description
This book forms a continuation of the research published in Medieval Parks, Anne Rowe's highly regarded volume of 2009. Now she turns her attention to the deer parks that existed in Hertfordshire during the sixteenth and early seventeenth centuries.
Anne Rowe is a freelance landscape historian. As well as being the author of Tudor and Early Stuart Parks of Hertfordshire (2019), she is the co-author, with Tom Williamson, of Hertfordshire: A landscape history (University of Hertfordshire Press, 2013). She co-ordinates the research work of the Hertfordshire Gardens Trust, is president of the East Herts Archaeological Society and lectures on various aspects of the county's landscape and garden history.
