Voor onze boekenclub op 7 juli – de laatste voor onze vakantie in augustus –hebben we besloten om niet één maar twee boeken te lezen: namelijk This Savage Song en Our Dark Duet, een duologie van veelgeprezen Fantasy-auteur V.E. Schwab.

This Savage Song en Our Dark Duet zijn te koop op onze YA-afdeling. Voor een hapje en een drankje wordt gezorgd, dus het enige wat je hoeft te doen is de boeken lezen en op 7 juli gezellig met ons meepraten. In september zullen we weer beginnen aan het nieuwe seizoen van de YA book club.
De Bored to Death book club werd ruim twee jaar geleden opgericht door twee Rotterdamse zusjes die vonden dat er een platform moest komen voor Engelstalige literatuur. Zo werd de reguliere book club, die maandelijks in V11 gehouden wordt, geboren. Sinds oktober 2014 is hier ook de YA book club bijgekomen, die maandelijks wordt georganiseerd door een van de zusjes en twee medewerkers van Donner in Donner. De Bored to Death book club organiseert ook andere evenementen, zoals een feministische talkshow. Ook bloggen ze dagelijks over alles wat met boeken te maken heeft op hun gelijknamige website.
