The Shanghai Maths Project Teacher's Guide part A, along with part B, provides teachers with all the support they need to deliver the programme of study as part of a mastery approach. It takes teachers through each topic, explains mathematical contexts and provides teaching ideas and activities for whole-class, intervention and enrichment.
The author team is led by Series Editor Amanda Simpson, expert in the teaching of primary mathematics and a mastery specialist. She holds a PhD in children's mathematics development, and is the former Director for Primary at the National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics (NCETM).
