Fast-paced, focused, and strongly written- with careful consideration to give just enough background on brain-injury and patient rehabilitation- Cook has done a terrific job
Throughout WITH MALICE, Eileen Cook does an impeccable job of keeping readers hooked, the slow release of new information ensured that you did not want to put the book down. In a very Gone Girl-esque narrative Cook has created a lead character that is generally very unlikeable. This is an entertaining read and is it very difficult to put down
With Malice is one of the most thrilling books I've read all year. I just couldn't take my eyes off the pages (...)I absolutely loved being taken on this journey (...) It is an enjoyable and captivating read, and the use of an unreliable narrator was clever and kept me on the edge of my seat
If you are wanting a mystery/thriller a bit different to other books in the genre, then With Malice is most likely going to satisfy you

With Malice is an excellently crafted young adult psychological thriller. The characterisation is sharp and Jill comes over as a likeable narrator, which gives the gradually unfolding story an even greater chill factor. The ending is clever and doesn't in any way short-change the reader, which is a hard trick to pull off.
I thoroughly enjoyed this novel as it captivated me from the moment I lifted the first page. It will entrance you immediately... It is an extremely gripping tale which discusses many important issues regarding the difference between friendships and relationships

She spent most of her teen years wishing she were someone else or somewhere else, which is great training for a writer.
