This edition of David the Invincible’s Commentary on the Prior Analytics, surviving only in an old Armenian translation from Greek, includes a revised critical text and the first English translation of the work, textual parallels with other commentaries, trilingual glossaries and other material useful to specialists.
Aram Topchyan, Doctor of Philology (2001), Institute of Literature of the Armenian Academy of Sciences, is Senior Researcher at the Institute of Ancient Manuscripts (Matenadaran) in Erevan. He has published extensively on the relations between Greco-Roman and early medieval Armenian literary works including The Problem of the Greek Sources of Movses Xorenac'i's History of Armenia (Peeters, 2006).
