Prior to this current role, he served as an associate professor and the director of academic computing at Volunteer State Community College in Gallatin, Tennessee, for 20 years. Dr. Ciampa has worked in the IT industry as a computer consultant for businesses, government agencies and educational institutions. He has published more than 20 articles in peer-reviewed journals and has written more than 25 technology textbooks, including CompTIA CySA+ Guide to Cybersecurity Analyst, Security+ Guide to Network Security Fundamentals, Security Awareness: Applying Practical Security in Your World, CWNA Guide to Wireless LANS, and Guide to Wireless Communications. Lisa Ruffolo has served as a technical writer and editor for more than 30 years. She is pursuing an emphasis in operating systems and digital literacy. She has edited top-selling books in the fields of introduction to computing, Microsoft Office, PC repair and computer programming. Jill West authors Cengage courses for CompTIA Cloud+, CompTIA Network+, Data Communications, Technology for Success and the popular Shelly Cashman Series. She has taught kindergarten through college and currently teaches computer technology courses at Georgia Northwestern Technical College. Jill specializes in designing innovative, critical-thinking activities and building courses that teach to popular IT certifications. She regularly presents at conferences and webinars on preparing for CompTIA certifications, teaching cloud computing and computer networking and mentoring lifelong student learners in IT.
