Description

Prof. Yixiang Wang is a full professor of forest science in the College of Carbon Neutrality at Zhejiang A&F University, Zhejiang Province Key Think Tank: Institute of Ecological Civilization, Zhejiang A&F University Hangzhou, China, where he is the vice dean from 2018 to present. His main interests includes forestry, mitigation climate change, forest management, forest ecosystem, UAV remote sensing and natural capital accounting. He has published more than 100 papers. He has also served as the Editorial Board member of Science of The Total Environment.

Dr. Manuel Esteban Lucas Borja is a professor of forests in the School of Advanced Agricultural and Forestry Engineering at  Castilla La Mancha University. Since 2005, Manuel has been working on different research projects and teaching activities at Castilla La Mancha University (Spain). Manuel developed his doctoral thesis in Cuenca Mountains working on Spanish black pine (Pinus nigra Arn. ssp salzmannii) natural regeneration and sustainable forest management. He had also spent some years in different European and national universities and research institutes as for example Edinburgh University (Scotland), Instituto Superior de Agronomía de Lisboa (Portugal), Tras-Os-Montes e Alto Douro University (Portugal) and Centro de Biología Aplicada del Segura (Spain) or USDA Forest Service (Rocky Mountains Research Station, Arcata). Manuel is currently involved in many different research and teaching activities at the School of Advanced Agricultural and forestry Engineering (Castilla La Mancha University). His core research and teaching interest are related to ecological forest restoration, postfire management strategies effects on forest plant biodiversity, soil properties and multiple ecosystem functions, including nutrient cycling, climate regulation, waste decomposition, symbiosis, wood production and water regulation. Moreover he actively works on soil erosion, assessing hydrological behaviour and sediment connectivity in contrasting landscapes and forest ecosystem management under the sustainabilityand multifunctionality forestry principles within the context of climate change.

Dr. Zhibin Sun is a full professor in the School of Mathematical Sciences at Nanjing Normal University (China). He received his Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (USA) in 2007. His research focuses on data assimilation theory and application, nonlinear dynamical systems, remote sensing applications, and machine learning. He served as a Conference Committee member of the International Society for Optical Engineering (SPIE) from 2014 to 2018, a guest editor of Science of The Total Environment, and an associate editor of Frontiers of Earth Science.

Dr. Paulo Pereira is a full professor at Mykolas Romeris University (Lithuania). He completed his Ph.D. at the University of Barcelona (Spain-2010) and has a Post-Doc from Michigan State University (USA-2016). Since 2014 he is the head of the Environmental Management Laboratory (Mykolas Romeris University- Lithuania). In 2015 Dr. Paulo awarded the Soil System Sciences Division, Outstanding Young Scientist. He published more than 90 Sci articles, 35 book chapters, and edited 3 books as the main editor in the fields of fire and soil degradation. Dr. Paulo serves as Associate editor in chief of the journal Geography and Sustainability, associated editor of The Science of the Total Environment and Heliyon, topical editor of Solid Earth, guest editor of Environmental Research, Journal of Environmental Management, Catena and Land Degradation and Development. He is also a member of the editorial board of several journals such as Current Opinion in Environmental Science and Health, Geoderma, Data in Brief and Remote Sensing.
