Description

This book demonstrates what group analytic thinking and music therapy can offer one another through theory and clinical practice.

This is a rich book that attends closely to the dynamics of groups in music therapy. The authors show how group analytic thinking matters in music therapy, alongside and combined with musical thinking. Therapists and students from many different backgrounds will find much to learn from here. - Donald Wetherick, Chair, British Association for Music Therapy

She has worked in the NHS and in private practice and has run groups for music therapy trainees at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, and the Guildhall School of Music, London. Eleanor Richards is a senior lecturer in music therapy at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, and a psychoanalytic psychotherapist and supervisor in private practice.
