Dr Raman Kumar Walia has served at Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, India, and headed the ICAR-All India Coordinated Research Project on Nematodes. He authored a Textbook on Introductory Plant Nematology, and has edited nine books. He has also contributed to the development of the postgraduate agriculture curriculum at the national level and has been Principal Investigator of several research projects funded by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). Dr Matiyar Rahaman Khan started his career at Bidhan Chandra Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Kalyani, India, and is currently Principal Scientist of the Division of Nematology of the Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi, India. Dr Khan compiled a Nematode Distribution Atlas, and was the recipient of the Young Scientist Award 2005. He has published over 135 research papers, contributed several book chapters, and written two monographs, one nematode disease compendium, and many popular articles in plant parasitic nematodes.
