Description
Gabriel Bekö is an associate professor at the Department of Environmental and Resource Engineering at the Technical University of Denmark. He obtained an MSc and a PhD in civil engineering from the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, Slovakia. He has undertaken extended research visits at the University of Texas at Austin and at the Harvard School of Public Health, both in the United States. He has held adjunct professor positions in Lithuania and the United Arab Emirates. His multidisciplinary research focuses on the quality of the built environment, covering technical and environmental sciences, human exposures, and their effects on health and well-being. He has published more than 140 peer-reviewed journal articles, conference articles and book chapters. He is an elected member of the Academy of Fellows of the International Society of Indoor Air Quality and Climate.
