She began writing when her own children were still young and has since written books that have been published throughout the world. Kristina Swarner (Illustrator) Kristina Swarner decided to become an artist at the age of 3, and has been drawing ever since. Since graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design, she has created award-winning illustrations for books, greeting cards, magazines, wine labels, CD covers, and theatre posters. Her work has been exhibited internationally, including Eric Carle Museum and the Society of Illustrators.
