Description

This is a story of a lifelong triumph over a lifelong adversity. Shawn Williams takes us from a very troubled childhood, at home and at school, causing severe emotional, psychological, and physical damage, to a child that can still find some small bright spots that bring him hope. The story takes us through extremely humiliating sexual abuse suffered in his early teens, to him rising to graduate at the top of his high school class. He then falls into two failed marriages that create much of the same damage again. Then he takes a third wife, that will help him deal with his past, and later, difficult health issues. Both he and his wife become very successful in business, only to have Shawn become sick with cancer, and then suffer a series of strokes. While they created three businesses, they sold two, with Shawn continuing to work at his business until the third in the series of strokes forced him to retire, no longer being able to do the work. His wife is still helping Shawn make improvements every day.

Paul has been living in Florida with his wife for about the last ten years. While this book, his first, is non-fiction, he spends his time writing mostly crime fiction and light fantasy. Paul has never tried to have any of his other works published; however, he has won 'The People's Choice Award' for two best short stories at public reading events.
