Description

This modest volume, Unicorns in the Afternoon: Poetry of Promise, presents a number of unique poetic works by Joseph Leslie Gitnig, carefully selected and edited by Roeline van Berchum, that reveal the mystery, beauty, and harmony of creation hidden behind the mundane. Through these compositions we are reminded again of our true nature, which is divine. Moreover, we are encouraged and helped, with kindness and understanding, to renew our connection to this true divine nature, for the good of ourselves and the world.

Joseph Leslie Gitnig was born in 1930 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. From 1953 to 1984, he lived in New York. Then he moved to the Netherlands. At seventeen, Joseph felt called to use poetic language to give expression in written form to subjects drawn from creation. At twenty, he recognized himself as a poet. He became known as Pegasus. Roeline van Berchum was born in 1967 in Amstelveen, the Netherlands. From 1986 to 1992, she was a student of Linguistic and Literary Studies at Tilburg University. Roeline first met Joseph in August 2006. Three months later, she felt called to work together with Joseph in the creation of inspirational books. This is their first published co-production.
