Abdulrazak Gurnah

Abdulrazak Gurnah (1948) werd geboren in Zanzibar, Tanzania. In 1967 vluchtte hij naar het Verenigd Koninkrijk, waar hij hoogleraar Engelse en postkoloniale literatuur werd aan de universiteit van Kent. Zijn indrukwekkende en gelauwerde oeuvre bestaat uit meerdere romans. In 2021 werd hem de Nobelprijs voor Literatuur toegekend.
