TEH VAN KNORRETJE Maar Iejoor zei bij zichzelf: 'Al dat geschrijf! Potloden en noem-maar-op. Zwaar overdreven, als je 't mij vraagt. Dom gedoe. Zit niks in.' En zo is Tao van Poeh bekend geworden als een Opmerkelijk Succes. En tot voor kort beschouwde ik dat als Het Eind van het verhaal. Ik had de Taoïstische principes uitgelegd. Ik had de mensen onderhouden met Poeh en zijn vriendjes. 'Nee, ik heb geen plannen voor een vervolg op Tao van Poeh. Ik hou niet van vervolgen. Hartelijk dank en goeiendag.' Maar langzaam en heel zachtjes sloop er iets mijn bewustzijn binnen. Een klein stemmetje probeerde mijn aandacht te trekken. Na een poos realiseerde ik me dat het dat van Knorretje was. Er was nog meer te zeggen, gaf Knorrie me te verstaan, maar er was niemand die het zei en toch was het nodig in deze tijd. Een tweede boek hoefde geen 'vervolg' te zijn; het kon een aanvulling op het eerste worden, zoals Het huis in het Poeh-hoekje een aanvulling is op Winnie-de-Poeh. Waarom luisterde ik naar Knorretje? Het antwoord ligt in het verleden. Toen ik klein was en de Poeh-verhalen me voor het eerst werden voorgelezen, werd ik meteen dol op Knorretje - van het begin af aan was hij mijn lieveling onder de Poeh-figuren. Dat wist ik wel, alleen wist ik niet waarom. Maar nu weet ik wel waarom. En ik hoop dat jij het ook zult weten voor je dit boek uit hebt.
