The Peripheral Existence and Effects of Corticotropin-releasing Factor Family
Chao Zhu graduated from Nanjing Medical University and got a Bachelor and Doctorate in Medicine in 2011 and 2016, respectively. Since then, he has been working as a lecturer/associate professor at the university. During the 8 years’ period, he also worked as a research scholar at the University of Arizona (2019–2021) and Indiana University (2024). He has been studying on CRF peptides and cardiovascular pharmacology for 10+ years. His cardiovascular disease research focuses on the protective effect of CRF peptides on multiple vascular functions. He has been continuously funded by the Natural Science Foundation of the university, province, and nation since 2017 when he received his first award. Rong Wan got a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy at Nanchang University (Jiangxi Province, China) in 2008. She also pursued further study in Nanjing Medical University and got a Doctorate in Medicine in 2013. Thereafter, she has been working in Jiangxi Key Laboratory of Molecular Medicine, the Second Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University. Her research focuses on the area of the underlying mechanisms in cardiovascular diseases, including CRF peptides and proteins post-translational modification. Shengnan Li graduated from Jiangxi Medical College and got a Bachelor degree in Clinical Medicine in 1986, after which she studied at China Medical University (Shenyang, China) and got her Master in Medicine in 1989. Then she worked as a lecturer in the Department of Pharmacology, Jiangxi Medical College for 6 years. Thereafter, she studied further in Institute of Pharmacology/Toxicology, Technical University of Dresden, and got her Doctorate in Medicine in 1999, further working as a research fellow in Institute of Neuroscience, National University of Singapore, until 2001. Since then, she has been working as a professor at Nanjing Medical University. The main research interest is about CRF peptides’ roles in cardiovascular functions and tumor development.

Semiclassical Nonadiabatic Molecular Dynamics
This book shows how to derive the simple and accurate semiclassical methods analytically and its applications to excited-state molecular dynamics and spectroscopy simulation with and without classical trajectories. It consists of eight chapters demonstrating interesting conical and intersystem-driven photochemical processes in complex systems targeting on large-scale ab initio direct nonadiabatic molecular dynamics. It also includes two chapters dealing with time-independent and time-dependent nonadiabatic molecular dynamics and clarifies the underline principle of Born-Oppenheimer approximation associated with coherence/decoherence quantum effects that have a wide range of applications in photochemistry and photophysics. This book is interesting and useful to a wide readership in the various fields of basic quantum chemistry and physics associated with large-scale excited-state simulation of nonadiabatic molecular dynamics and spectroscopy.

Effect of Solid Phase Property on a Sewage Pump Performance
The solid phase property plays a prominent role in hydraulic performance and internal flow characteristics of sewage pump when delivering solid-liquid two-phase flow. In this book, the CFD method is employed to deeply reveal the effects of diameter, density, and volume fraction of solid phase on sewage pump performance. This study could provide a valuable reference for designing and selection of sewage pump productions.

Regional Geological Survey of Hanggai, Xianxia and Chuancun, Zhejiang Province in China
This Open Access book introduces readers to the regional geology of Hanggai, Xianxia and Chuancun, the area between China's northern Zhejiang Province and southern Anhui Province and explores the strata, magmatic rocks and tectonic structures in 1:50,000 scale geological maps. Based on studies of multiple stratigraphic divisions, the standard stratigraphic section of the upper Ordovician Hirnantian in the lower Yangtze region is established, revealing for the first time numerous ¿Burgess Shale-type¿ sponge fossils in Hirnantian strata and identifying 10 grapholite fossil belts and various fossil categories, including chitin, trilobites, gastropods, brachiopods, and cephalopods. Moreover, the book identifies for the first time Late Ordovician volcanic events in northern Zhejiang province. The work represents a major contribution to research on Paleozoic strata in the Lower Yangtze region, and sheds new light on understanding the Hirnantian glacial event and biological extinction event in South China by providing a high-precision time scale. In addition, the book opens an important avenue for future research on sponge evolution after the Cambrian life explosion. As such, it offers a unique and valuable asset for researchers and graduate students alike.

Principles of Gas-Solid Flows
'This is a useful book for the novice researcher, as well as representing a worthwhile addition to the reference library of the more established researcher in the field. The treatment of the subject area is well served by thorough derivations of the working equations, and the illustrations provided by worked examples are an effective teaching tool. The generous provision of examples, problems and solutions in each chapter allows the book to be adopted readily as a textbook for postgraduate taught courses in engineering and applied science disciplines … The overall print quality and the clarity of layout are also highly commendable.'
