Accounting for Relationships
Originally published in 1987, Accounting for Relationships, which brought together work by the leading international scholars in the expanding field of personal relationships research at the time, was the first to concentrate entirely on people's accounting for their relationships. It represented a significant move away from the analysis of personal relationships through events and actions on which research had thus far been concentrated, focusing instead on our explanations, interpretations, understanding and conceptions of our relationships. The underlying theme which runs through this collection is that we actually create the experience and reality of our relationships by our accounts of them, and the 'accounting' concept links together chapters covering a variety of topics and ranging from research reports to theoretical discussions. The editors have divided the book into three sections. The essays in the first section concentrate on the individual's 'inner world' and the psychological processes which underlie his or her understanding and knowledge of a relationship. In the second section the focus is on a more public or expressed level, linking accounts to action, communication and social goals. The third section widens the scope still further, dealing with social and historical origins of collective sense-making, and looking at the extent to which the meaning of a relationship is created independently of the individuals concerned. This collection at once moved the investigation of personal relationships forward by focusing on an aspect which deserved to be given more central importance, and, with respect to social psychology in general, advanced a growing intellectual movement away from individualism towards a relational perspective. Today it can be read in its historical context.

Exploration Magnetics
Exploration Magnetics provides a comprehensive review of the application of magnetization and magnetic field studies to mineral exploration. It investigates how subsurface models of magnetization properties and distribution can be derived from magnetic field data. The book also covers geological controls on magnetization, including linkage between magnetization and mineralization, illustrates the magnetic field expression of those magnetizations and explains how to recognize them. Understanding rock magnetism and its relationship to mineralization is more important than ever, given the difficulties of migration to areas of deeper cover in the search for new deposits, as well as the search for different styles of mineralization involving the critical metals of the future. Magnetic methods are at the forefront of mineral exploration in Australia, and the editors of Exploration Magnetics are world-class experts who have led the development and application of mineral exploration techniques, methods and adaption of new technologies. Drawing information from multiple sources, the contributing authors focus on the practical solution of problems, present extensive case study applications, and explore the recovery of source magnetization direction from magnetic field data. They also outline adaption of these magnetic methods for future off-world exploration. Features: Includes practical case studies from geological mapping and mineral exploration projects.Provides considerable synthesis of information and understanding in a single text.Contains insights from expert authors with many years of extensive experience.

'Diese Merkwürdige Kleinigkeit Einer Vision'
Christoph Hein is one of the best-known authors of the former GDR, and his works of fiction have been widely interpreted as responses to and critiques of socialist society. In this study, David Clarke undertakes a detailed analysis of all of Christoph Hein's major works of fiction from Der fremde Freund (1928) to Willenbrock (2000) in order to explore Hein's critique of the GDR regime, whilst also demonstrating how aspects of that critique provided a starting point for Hein's rejection of capitalism both before and after German unification. For Hein, socialism had failed to make good its promise to create a community bound together by common values and goals, preferring instead to impose conformity upon its citizens. Capitalism, he believed, was equally unable to meet the need for community, and Hein sought to demonstrate the consequences of this state of affairs in the figure of Wörle in his first post-unification novel, Das Napoleon-Spiel (1993). After this point, Clarke argues, Hein was nevertheless forced to re-examine his criticism of capitalism, a process which ultimately led to the more differentiated and convincing portrayal to be found in Willenbrock.

Memory and the Holocaust
The importance of recording testimony of Holocaust survivors is well understood. While empowering the survivor and adding another layer of documentation about the cataclysm, it also serves as a bulwark against Holocaust denial. The same holds true for helping survivors pen their memoirs, or when writing their history. At the same time, this process also impacts upon the person recording the testimony, assisting the survivor in writing his or her memoirs, and certainly upon those who write about the survivors. What happens when the interviewer, biographer, translator, or memoir transcriber is a child or grandchild of that survivor? This book is based on the premise that a collection of personal narratives of descendants of Holocaust survivors who interviewed their parents\grandparents, wrote their history, or helped them with their memoirs, narratives in which they describe and analyze the impact of these activities on their personal trajectories, can greatly contribute to our understand of the Holocaust and, particularly, its aftermath. Each of the book's 14 chapters is a personal narrative by a child or grandchild of Holocaust survivors who analyzes the impact that their interviewing, writing about, or writing with their surviving parents\ grandparents had upon their lives.

Converted on LSD Trip, 4th Edition.
Originally published on the 11th, of February 2001 whilst I was a lecturer at Fareham Collage in the UK, and it has gone through various additions and formates, for various reasons. In the first edition the introduction started by stating, 'David Clarke is currently a lecturer at Fareham college teaching electronics, has taught there since 1989. However, since leaving Dover Borstal in 1968 he had a three-year career of undetected crime, until the 16th of January 1970 when he experienced a Christian conversion from crime to follow Christ, whilst suffering from the effects of LSD. Since his conversion he continued his education by learning to read as he was virtually illiterate, by using the bible and classical Christian literature. He then trained to be a lecturer, at Wolverhampton Polytechnic, and graduated with a Cert Ed awarded by Birmingham University, and commenced teaching at Luton college of higher education in 1978. Since that time, he has taught hundreds of students during his 21 years as a lecture at colleges and Higher and Further Education. In 1990 David turned away from God, for a short period of time, in unbelief and went through divorce and a remarriage. However, he returned to God in faith and repentance and since 1994 has spoken to many of his friends all about what Jesus had done for him. In this part of my life I tell of my recovery after a fall into open sin and written as a testimony for any who find themselves in that situation. David believes it is now time to complete student's education he now wishes to make known to all his former friends, and students, and their friends that his bad experience on LSD is nothing compared to what hell is like. He wants to tell them all about the salvation Jesus came to give men and that men may be saved by through faith in Jesus Christ and that like Oskar Schindler, and his list, all that were on that list were saved so to this David has a list of over 250 students and friends who he's seeking and will be contacting shortly as he wishes to persuade them to listen and hear, in full, of all what Jesus has done for him. He says many of his friends have found life difficult and gone through marriage breakups, been made redundant and without work, some are without hope some in drink dry out centres, some are ill and hopeless and some have died. David conducted the funeral of John Sawyer in Titchfield, in 1997 a student of his when he had no one left in the world to help him in his death.
