Qualitativ Forschen mit KI über KI

Wie verändert künstliche Intelligenz die qualitative Sozialforschung?In einem zweisemestrigen Lehrforschungsprojekt erprobten Soziologiestudierende (BA und MA) in mehreren Lehrveranstaltungen ein KI-gestütztes Interviewtool sowie weitere KI-Anwendungen der qualitativen Forschung. Studierende aus dem Raum München wurden eingeladen, an einer Studie zu „Einstellungen zu KI“ teilzunehmen und konnten wählen, ob sie mit oder ohne KI interviewt werden wollten. Interviews von Studierenden, die ein KI-gestützter Chatbot durchführte, wurden anschließend durch ein weiteres Interview mit menschlichen Interviewer*innen reflektiert. Der Sammelband dokumentiert das methodische Vorgehen und präsentiert die Ergebnisse der studentischen Arbeitsgruppen. Die Befunde zeigen ein differenziertes Bild: Einige KI-Anwendungen erwiesen sich als unterstützend, andere als wenig hilfreich. Vor allem erreichten KI-geführte Interviews nicht die Qualität persönlicher Face-to-Face-Interviews. Forschungsethische Fragen werden kritisch diskutiert und in die aktuelle Debatte um KI in der qualitativen Sozialforschung eingeordnet.
