The Encyclopedia of Cults, Sects, and New Religions
Surpassing the scope and the thoroughness of the first edition, this new edition of The Encyclopedia of Cults, Sects, and New Religions is the most wide-ranging and accessible resource on the historically significant and more obscure, sinister, and bizarre religious groups. Including many entries by scholarly specialists, this volume explains more than 1,000 diverse groups and movements, from such well-known sects as the Branch Davidians, Aum Shinrikyo, and Heaven's Gate, to obscure groups like Ordo Templi Satanas, Witches International, and the Nudist Christian Church of the Blessed Virgin Jesus. In addition to an exhaustive index and handy cross-references, the second edition includes over a hundred new topical entries on subjects relevant to understanding sectarian movements, from snake-handling and satanic ritual abuse to brainwashing and exorcism. This book, a must for all libraries and schools, will endure as the first and only point of reference for researchers, scholars, students, and anyone interested in fringe religious groups.

Criminal Law for Family Law Attorneys
"[This book] is a guide to spotting criminal issues and concerns in family law cases, useful for family law attorneys or anyone going through a family law matter. There is often an overlap between family law and criminal defense. Sometimes the criminal implications in family law cases are obvious, such as domestic violence, but they are often less so, such as unlawful tracking and surveillance. Family law attorneys who do not understand the criminal implications and recognize this overlap can accidentally exacerbate the situation by not being able to advice their clients properly. [This book] is designed to help family law attorneys keep their clients out of trouble. While this book will not make you an expert in criminal defense, it will help you identify the issues so that you can appropriately advise your client or get them counsel from a criminal defense attorney. Sometimes, the best thing we can do for our clients is identify and address potential issues before they become problems" --

The Order of the Solar Temple
The Temple of Death’This book is useful not only for giving the reader a multi-faceted view of this ’enigma’, but it provides any researcher reading it with an extremely useful typology of neo-Templarism as a movement. It not only explains the possible reasons for the turn towards death on behalf of the leaders of the OST, but it illuminates the past and present of a wider movement of which we have certainly not heard the end.’ Alternative Spirituality and Religion Review ’This volume is useful to scholars of NRMs and to members of the public who are interested in non-partisan, sensible and accessible treatments of controversial subjects within the study of religion.’ Bulletin for the British Association for the Study of Religions
