John Fante

John Fante (1909-1983) was een Italiaans-Amerikaanse schrijver en een tijdgenoot van o.a. William Faulkner en F. Scott Fitzgerald. Hij schreef korte verhalen, romans en filmscenario's. Pas laat in zijn leven werd hij echt ontdekt. Wacht tot het voorjaar, Bandini en Vraag het aan het stof zijn beide succesvol verfilmd.
