In november 2018 hadden Charel Cambré en Marc Legendre mekaar weer ns zitten opjutten over een niemendal en vonden ze dat ze daar een cartoon over moesten maken. Zoals het bij hen gaat, lag er twee minuten later een scenario van Marc, had Charel de mop uitgetekend, hadden ze een naam, een logo, een Facebookpagina en veel goesting om enkel nog dát te doen. Heden Verse Vis, naar de beroemde Lambik-grap, was geboren. Thans verschijnt het eerste lange verhaal waarin Cambré en Legendre beslissen om onder de Spaanse zon te gaan brainstormen over een strip die hen roem en geld moet opleveren. Het knotsgekke verhaal liep in Eppo waar Heden Verse Vis al snel een publiekslieveling werd. Want het zal niemand verbazen dat beide heren in hun relaas in de eerste plaats heel hard met zichzelf lachen. En wij kunnen u verzekeren, dát werkt zéér aanstekelijk.
