Werkboek HIC

Sinds de introductie van het HIC-model heeft high en intensive care zich ontwikkeld tot een landelijk gedragen en wetenschappelijk onderbouwde manier van werken binnen de acute psychiatrie. Deze volledig herziene uitgave van het Werkboek HIC bundelt dertien jaar aan praktijkervaring, onderzoek en gezamenlijke reflectie. Het boek biedt actuele handvatten om HIC-zorg verder te verbeteren, met blijvende aandacht voor herstel, eigen regie en het zorgvuldig beperken van verplichte zorg. Het Werkboek HIC geeft een samenhangend overzicht van het HIC-model: van visie en kernprincipes tot concrete toepassing in de dagelijkse praktijk. Het beschrijft zowel de ontwikkeling van het model als de actuele evidencebased best practices. Aan bod komen onder meer opname en behandeling, multidisciplinaire samenwerking, inzet van ervaringsdeskundigheid, juridische kaders, bouw en inrichting van de afdeling en de organisatie van HIC-teams. Daarnaast biedt het boek praktische ondersteuning bij implementatie, evaluatie en continue verbetering, met aandacht voor samenwerking binnen het bredere zorgnetwerk en de dilemma’s die daarbij ontstaan. Dit werkboek is bedoeld voor alle professionals die betrokken zijn bij HIC-zorg, zoals psychiaters, psychologen, verpleegkundigen, ervaringsdeskundigen, managers en beleidsmakers binnen de acute psychiatrie. Daarnaast is het relevant voor opleiders, auditoren en ketenpartners die werken aan de kwaliteit, samenhang en toekomstbestendigheid van crisiszorg. Dr. Y. (Yolande) Voskes is universitair hoofddocent bij de afdeling Ethiek, Recht en Humaniora van Amsterdam UMC en senior onderzoeker bij GGzE. Daarnaast is zij als onderzoeker verbonden aan Tranzo, Tilburg University. Sinds 2022 is zij voorzitter van Stichting HIC&ART. Al meer dan twintig jaar doet zij onderzoek naar het voorkomen van verplichte zorg, een onderwerp waarop zij in 2015 promoveerde. Ze is mede-auteur van het eerste Werkboek HIC (2013) en tevens auteur van FHIC Werkboek: High & Intensive Care vanuit forensisch perspectief (De Leede e.a., 2016) en De kunst van art: Werkboek Active Recovery Triad (2016). Zij is verantwoordelijk voor het onderzoek naar deze zorgmodellen. Dr. A. L. (Laura) van Melle is coördinator dwangpreventie bij ggz inGeest en is verbonden aan afdeling Ethiek, Recht en Humaniora van Amsterdam UMC, en lid van het bestuur van Stichting HIC&ART. In 2021 promoveerde zij op de ontwikkeling, implementatie en effecten van het HIC-model in de Nederlandse ggz. Ze brengt wetenschappelijke kennis van de reductie van verplichte zorg in de praktijk met trainingen, intervisie, moreel beraad en via meerdere lerende netwerken, waaronder het lerend netwerk Leren van data verplichte zorg, waar zij vicevoorzitter is. M.T.E. (Marlies) Jehoel-van As, MANP, werkt als verpleegkundig specialist ggz en inhoudelijk manager bij GGzE Crisis Care. Ze is actief betrokken geweest bij de landelijke ontwikkeling van art (Active Recovery Triad) en sinds 2018 werkzaam op de HIC. Ze is mede-initiatiefneemster van het Nederlandse Safewards Lerend Netwerk. In haar rol combineert zij klinische expertise met beleidsmatige verantwoordelijkheid, gericht op het verbeteren van herstelgerichte zorg die leidt tot verminderen van escalaties en toepassing van verplichte zorg en het versterken van samenwerking binnen multidisciplinaire teams. Prof.dr. C.L. (Niels) Mulder werkt als psychiater bij Antes, onderdeel van de Parnassiagroep, en is bijzonder hoogleraar Openbare Geestelijke Gezondheidszorg bij het Epidemiological and Social Psychiatric Research institute (ESPRI), een samenwerkingsverband tussen de ggz-Instellingen in Zuid-West Nederland en de afdeling psychiatrie van het Erasmus mc. Daarnaast is hij lid van het bestuur van de Stichtingen HIC&ART, F-ACT Nederland en Resourcegroepen Nederland en voorzitter van de European Assertive Outreach Foundation. A.F.M.M. (Tom) van Mierlo is psychiater en voorzitter Raad van Bestuur van Reinier van Arkel, ggz-aanbieder van specialistische geestelijk gezondheidszorg in Den Bosch e.o., en lid van het bestuur van Stichting HIC&ART. Hij is mede-auteur van het eerste Werkboek HIC (2013), De kunst van art: Werkboek Active Recovery Triad (2016) en het handboek Netwerkpsychiatrie, samenwerken aan herstel en gezondheid (2020). Recent publiceerde hij het boek De basis van mentale gezondheid (2024).
