Spokane, Portland and Seattle Railway

The Spokane, Portland and Seattle Railway (SP&S) (reporting mark SPS) was a United States-based railroad incorporated in 1905. It was a joint venture by the Great Northern Railway and the Northern Pacific Railway to build a railroad along the north bank of the Columbia River. In 1970, it was leased to the Burlington Northern Railroad (BN), the consolidation of the Great Northern Railway, Northern Pacific Railway, and Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad. Due to outstanding bonds, the SP&S was not merged into the BN until November 1, 1979. The Burlington Northern continued to operate it until 1987, when it announced intention to vacate the right-of-way between Snake River Junction (near Ice Harbor Dam) and Cheney. The segment between Portland and Pasco continues to serve successor BNSF and enjoys heavy traffic due to its low-grade and slight curvature crossing of the Cascade Range.

Senoch

He was born in Tiffauges, in Poitou. He founded a monastery in 536, serving as abbot. They established themselves at a place now called Saint-Senoch, which was the site of some Roman ruins. St. Senoch was famous for his acts of austerity, such as enclosing himself within a four-foot space so narrow that he couldn't move the lower half of his body. This won him the undying love of a vast populace. Senoch knew both St. Euphronius, Bishop of Tours, and his successor, Saint Gregory of Tours.

Segomo

In Gallo-Roman religion, Segomo ("victor, mighty one") was a war god worshipped in Gaul. In Roman times he was equated with Mars and Hercules. He may be related to Cocidius, a similar god worshipped in Britain. He is commonly associated with the eagle or hawk. The name of the legendary High King of Ireland Nia Segamain, which translates as "sister's son or champion of Segamon", may be related. Gallo-Roman religion was a fusion of Roman religious forms and modes of worship with Gaulish deities from Celtic polytheism. It was a selective acculturation.In some cases, Gaulish deity names were used as epithets for Roman deities, as with Lenus Mars or Jupiter Poeninus. In other cases, Roman gods were given Gaulish female partners - for example, Mercury was paired with Rosmerta and Sirona was partnered with Apollo. In at least one case - that of the equine goddess Epona - a native Celtic goddess was also adopted by Romans.

Penina Taylor

Penina Taylor is a countermissionary speaker, counselor and author. She is the Executive Director of the Shomrei Emet Institute for Counter-Missionary Studies and the founder of Torah Life Strategies. Shomrei Emet was briefly affiliated with the counter-missionary organization, Jews for Judaism, Jerusalem during 2008.Penina was born into a secular Jewish home in Lakewood Township, New Jersey. After a traumatic childhood, Penina embraced Christianity in High School, and then went on to Miami Christian College (Now Trinity University) where she obtained a Bible Certificate. In college Penina became certified in the Evangelism Explosion (EE) program, was trained and served as a counselor with the Billy Graham Crusade several times and was certified as a crisis pregnancy counselor.

Spiritual Warfare

Spiritual warfare is a range of activity by various Christian groups whereby Satanic demons are combatted, using a variety of methods depending on the beliefs of the group, but typically prayer. Spiritual warfare is practiced all over the world. According to the Christian Broadcasting Network commentator Carl Moeller, spiritual warfare is practiced even into North Korea, which its commentator described as the most dangerous place on earth to be Christian". The expression came into wide use in the non-Christian media when African spiritual warrior Pastor Thomas Muthee visited America and prayed over a 2008 presidential candidate.
