Advances in Corrosion inhibitor's Synthesis

Steel are present with very high percentages in industrial sectors such as (technological industry, construction sectors), despite a large amount of steel is destroyed by corrosion in harsh environments especially in acidic environments. Corrosion therefore affects most industries and can cost billions of dollars each year at an economical level. So, stopping or at least slowing this damage became mandatory. Quinoxalines proved to be a good corrosion inhibitor of mild steel in acid media. Therefore, keeping an eye on the industrial and environmental scenarios, the first chapter for our Book deals with the synthesis of newly 8-hydroxyquinoline derivatives namely and characterized by 1H and 13C NMR Nuclear Magnetic Resonance spectroscopy. Their inhibition performance was studied against the corrosion of mild steel in hydrochloric acid by a chemical and electrochemical techniques. It was found that the studied compounds exhibit a very good performance as inhibitors for mild steel corrosion in hydrochloric acid medium. It has been determined that the adsorption for the studied inhibitors on mild steel and also Scanning electron microscopy was performed and discussed for steel surface.

Bayan Sporcularda Menstrual Dönemde Akut Egzersizin Saturasyona Etkisi

Bu çal¿¿mada, bireysel ve tak¿m sporlar¿ndaki bayan sporcularda menstrual dönemde anaerobik egzersizin oksijen saturasyonu üzerine akut etkisi arät¿r¿lm¿¿t¿r. Çal¿¿ma Amasya ve Ondokuz May¿s üniversitesi'nde bireysel (30) ve tak¿m sporlar¿ (30) yapan, 60 bayan sporcu üzerinde yap¿lm¿¿t¿r. Ölçümler Menstrual dönemin menstrual faz¿n 3±1 ve luteal faz¿n 21±1'inci günlerinde yap¿lm¿¿t¿r. Akut egzersizin oksijen saturasyonu üzerine etkisini belirlemede anaerobik performans için Wingate anaerobik güç ve kapasite testi uygulanm¿¿t¿r. Oksijen saturasyonu da wingate testi öncesi ve sonras¿ pulse oksimetre ile ölçülmü¿tür. Wingate peak de¿erlerine göre tak¿m ve bireysel sporlar aras¿nda ve luteal faz yorgunluk indeksi de¿erlerinde anlaml¿ farkl¿l¿k bulunmu¿tur (p<0,05). Ayn¿ zamanda Sporcular¿n menstrual dönemin üçüncü gün saturasyon ön ölçüm de¿erleri ile wingate peak de¿erleri aras¿nda da anlaml¿ farkl¿l¿k tespit edilmi¿tir (p<0,05). Sonuç, anaerobik egzersizin oksijen saturasyonu üzerine akut etkisinin oldu¿u ancak menstrual dönemin menstrual ve luteal fazlar¿ aras¿nda anlaml¿ bir fark olmad¿¿¿, anaerobik gücü yüksek olanlar¿n saturasyon de¿eri dü¿ük oldu¿u tesbit edilmi¿tir.

Organic synthesis of novel corrosion inhibitors

A new benzimidazoles derivatives of 8-hydroxyquinoline have been synthesized and its chemical structure was elucidated and confirmed using different spectral methods such as 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy. The inhibitive action of 5-((2-phenylbenzimidazol-1-yl)-methyl)-quinolin-8-ol (Q-H) against the corrosion of mild steel in 1.0 M hydrochloric acid solution were investigated at different temperatures by a series of known techniques such weight loss and electrochemical measurements. In order to improve inhibition property, the effect of substitution onbenzimidazoles derivatives of 8-hydroxyquinoline towards mild steel corrosion inhibition in hydrochloric acid medium was also studied. It was found that the studied compounds exhibit a very good performance as inhibitors for mild steel corrosion in 1.0 M hydrochloric acid (HCl). Results show that the inhibition efficiency increases with decreasing temperature and increasing concentration of inhibitor's.

Down Sendromlu Çocuk Annelerinin Aile ¿¿levleri ve Sosyal Destekleri

Arät¿rma, Down sendromlu çocuklar¿n annelerinin aile i¿levlerini alg¿lama ve sosyal destek düzeylerini de¿erlendirmek amac¿yla yap¿lm¿¿t¿r. Materyal ve Metot. Arät¿rma; il merkezindeki üç ¿lçe Mili E¿itim Müdürlü¿üne bäl¿, yedi özel e¿itim ve rehabilitasyon merkezinde 15 Mart 2012-28 ¿ubat 2013 tarihleri aras¿nda tan¿mlay¿c¿ olarak gerçekle¿tirilmi¿tir. Evrenden örneklem seçme yöntemine gidilmeden, arät¿rmaya kat¿lmay¿ kabul eden 63 Down sendromlu çocuklar¿n anneleri ile yürütülmü¿tür. Veriler; arät¿rmac¿lar taraf¿ndan haz¿rlanan Soru Formu, ADÖ ve ÇYASDÖ ile toplanm¿¿t¿r. Verilerin de¿erlendirilmesinde; Yüzdelik dä¿l¿m, ortalama, Kruskal-Wallis, Mann-Whitney U testleri, t testi, Dunn testi ve Korelasyon analizi kullan¿lm¿¿t¿r.
