LRDG - TRACKS - June 2025
TRACKS 2025 is already the fifth issue of our magazine and in addition we have published also two special issues.Whilst there is still plenty of LRDG stuff to be written about, we are entering new fields in this issue. When the research about the rescue of the B 24 crew started, it was believed that the LRDG was involved. It was not... but instead, we found that it was a mission of the Sudan Defence Force and an Indian Long Range Patrol. Should we now ommit the article, we asked ourselves... but soon came to the conclusion that we should include it. TRACKS 2025 is also the first issue where we include an article about an enemy unit, the German Wüstennotstaffel, explaining briefly the units background but focus on its encounters with the LRDG.We will continue to include articles about enemy units and other Allied special forces in TRACKS, always in close connection to the LRDG and its missions. This will, hopefully, help to widen the understanding about the environment in which the LRDG-patrols had operated.

Language and Nationalism in Europe
This work examines the role of language in the present and past creation of social, cultural, and national identities in Europe. It seeks answers to such questions as: what linguistic, geographical, political, and social forces led to the rise of these distinct languages? and how are these different languages social and political constructs?
