    Voor jou en jou alleen is een fonkelnieuwe, frisse, brutale, verrassend begrijpelijke en heerlijk leesbare vertaling van de beroemdste liefdespoëzie ooit geschreven. Toen acteur en schrijver Frans van Deursen werd gevraagd vijf van Shakespeares sonnetten voor te lezen tijdens een sonnettenmarathon, ging hij op zoek naar vertalingen die voor voordracht geschikt zijn, maar vond die niet. Niet gespeend van een gezonde dosis overmoed ging hij zelf aan de slag. Hij kreeg algauw de smaak te pakken en besloot alle 154 sonnetten te vertalen. Met respect voor vorm en inhoud van het origineel (de regels van het sonnet, metrum en rijm) worden Shakespeares schitterende, tijdloze verzen toegankelijk voor iedereen.
