Mise en valeur des bas-fonds

Ce travail s'inscrit dans la dynamique générale de reconversion que connait l'agriculture ivoirienne. Il analyse le regain d'intérêt pour les terres de bas-fonds qui jadis étaient quasi inexploités dans la sous-préfecture de Divo situé dans le sud forestier ivoirien. En raison du manque d'une base de données, spécifique à l'exploitation des bas-fonds à l'échelle de l'espace d'étude, par choix raisonné, les dix (10) plus grands exploitants des bas-fonds par localité ont été interrogé, soit au total 80 paysans exploitant 795,69 hectares de bas-fond. Les résultats révèlent que du fait de la crise agricole les paysans se ruent davantage vers les bas-fonds et les localités situés dans le nord la sous-préfecture abritent les plus importants producteurs de riz et de maraichers.

Abdel Razik Ahmed Zidan, PhD, is currently a professor of hydraulics and water resources engineering at Mansoura University, Egypt. He is a member of the permanent scientific committee of water resources in Egypt; a peer reviewer of about 15 international journals; and a peer reviewer of national and international projects presented to the Academy of Scientific Research, Egypt, in the field of water resources. Dr. Zidan held the post of the head of Irrigation and Hydraulics Department, Mansoura University, Egypt. Dr. Zidan is an author of several books, including the book Breakwaters Effect on Wave Energy Dissipation. Mohammed Ahmed Abdel Hady, PhD, is currently an assistant professor of irrigation and drainage engineering at the Irrigation and Hydraulics Department at Mansoura University, Egypt. Dr. Abdel Hady earned his doctor of philosophy in subsurface constructed wetlands. He holds BSc, MSc, and PhD degrees in civil engineering from Mansoura University, Egypt.
