Die ersten drei Jahre Christentum
Die früheste Zeit der christlichen Kirche läge im Dunkel der Geschichte - gäbe es da nicht die kanonische Apostelgeschichte des Lukas. Sie gilt als die einzige Quelle über die Frühzeit der Kirche und hat schon deshalb eine ungeheure Wirkung entfaltet. Nicht zuletzt sind ihre Daten zu Jesu Auferstehung und Himmelfahrt sowie zur Ausgießung des heiligen Geistes an Pfingsten Grundlage unseres Kalenders geworden. Doch Lukas gilt nicht nur als einzige Quelle, sein Bild von der idealen apostolischen Gemeinde in Jerusalem wird auch vielfach als geschichtlich zuverlässig ausgegeben, und das bis heute. Gerd Lüdemann zeigt, dass beides nicht stimmt. Erst unterzieht er die lukanische Darstellung einer scharfen Kritik und entlarvt sie als freie Erfindung des Autors. Anschließend rekonstruiert er die ersten drei Jahre des Christentums auf der Grundlage der zweiten Quelle zur Frühzeit der Kirche, der Paulusbriefe, neu.
