Gordon Maxwell Kerr (born October 4, 1917) is a Canadian backstroke swimmer who competed in the 1936 Summer Olympics. In 1936 he was eliminated in the semi-finals of the 100 metre backstroke event. At the 1938 Empire Games he won the silver medal in the 100 yards backstroke competition. He was also a member of the Canadian team which won the silver medal in the 3×110 yards medley contest. The backstroke, also sometimes called the back crawl, is one of the four swimming styles regulated by FINA, and the only regulated style swum on the back
