Dominique Blanc

She trained at the French Drama school, Cours Florent. In 1980 at the suggestion of Pierre Romans , in whose class she was, Patrice Chéreau went to see her and engaged her for a performance of Henrik Ibsen's Peer Gynt. She remains one of Chéreau's preferred actresses. One of the most critically acclaimed French actresses, she has already won four César Awards (one for Best actress in 2000 for Stand-by and three for Best actress in a supporting role, in 1990 for Milou en mai, in 1992 for Indochine and in 1998 for Ceux qui m'aiment prendront le train) and has been nominated four more times. On 6 September 2008, she won the Volpi Cup for Best Actress at the 65th Venice Film Festival.

Gerda Lundequist

Gerda Carola Cecilia Lundequist (14 February 1871 - 23 October 1959) was a Swedish stage actress, an Ibsen and Strindberg-thespian that in her time was known throughout Scandinavia as "The Swedish Sarah Bernhardt". Lundequist was considered one of Scandinavia's leading tragediennes and dramatic stage actresses, and she originated many leading female parts in plays by Ibsen and Strindberg. She had a 60 year long career as a professional actress (with debut 1889) before she made her last performance in 1949, as Julia Hylténius in the successful staging of the comedy The Barons Will by Hjalmar Bergman.
