Heimat Bakenstraße
Hans Wolffgang erzählt vom Leben in der Bakenstraße in Halberstadt in den 1930er Jahren, vom Studium in Göttingen und in Halle (Saale), von seinen Kriegsjahren und seiner Arbeit am Institut in Aschersleben. Die Bakenstraße, die "Hauptstraße" der Unterstadt, war damals sehr belebt von Menschen und Tieren. Frauen standen auf der Straße, oft in besonderen "Mänteln" mit Kindern auf dem Arm. Man kam von der Arbeit oder dem Einkaufen. Und Kinder. Kinder über Kinder. Je älter sie wurden, um so größer wurde ihr Wirkungskreis. Sie spielten vor der Haustür, "auf dem Platz", dann kamen Rosenwinkel, Judenstraße und Grauer Hof dazu, schließlich Planschbecken, Hammelsgang, Schäferstraße und Angerpromenade.
