Father Patrick Ryan, an Irish Catholic priest, left the Pallottine order in 1973 after refusing a transfer to a parish church in England.A decade later, and alleged by British intelligence of being an IRA volunteer, Fr Ryan was accused of involvement in IRA activities. In 1988, Ryan denied the accusation in an interview with The Tipperary Star, saying that he had raised money both inside and outside Europe for victims on the nationalist side in the troubles of Northern Ireland. But Ryan insisted that he had "never bought explosives for the IRA or anybody else", and had never been requested by the paramilitary group to do so.

The 2007 Honda 200 was a race in the 2007 IRL IndyCar Series, held at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. It was held over the weekend of 20 -July 22, 2007, as the twelfth round of the seventeen-race calendar. It was the inaugural race for the IndyCar Series at the track. The Honda 200 at Mid-Ohio presented by Westfield Insurance is an Indy Racing League IndyCar Series race held at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio. American open wheel racing debuted at the track in 1980. The CART series continued to race there from 1983-2003. In 2007, American open wheel racing returned to the venue, when the Indy Racing League IndyCar Series held an event. The race is part of a doubleheader with ALMS. On November 21, 2006, it was announced that weekend of racing secured the sponsorship of Honda.
