    El cáncer es una de las principales causas de muerte en la actualidad, por lo que requiere el uso de fármacos quimioterapéuticos para su tratamiento. Aunque se han desarrollado diversos agentes quimioterapéuticos, todavía no existe un tratamiento eficaz contra la resistencia a múltiples fármacos que adquieren las células cancerosas debido a la elevada expresión de la P-gp en sus paredes celulares. En un esfuerzo por sintetizar nuevos compuestos que superen la resistencia a múltiples fármacos, hemos sintetizado una nueva serie de [1,4]-DHP sin sustituir en N y sustituidos en N, y hemos evaluado la actividad inhibidora de la P-gp de estos derivados utilizando rodamina B como sustrato de la P-gp. A partir del ensayo in vitro, se ha observado que los [1,4]-DHP sustituidos en N muestran una actividad mejorada en comparación con los compuestos no sustituidos en N. La sustitución alifática en la primera posición de los [1,4]-DHP asimétricos dio lugar a una buena captación de fluorescencia.

    Dr. Jitender Madan is Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Pharmaceutics at NIPER Hyderabad, a leading researcher and educator in pharmaceutical sciences. His research centers on self-assembled supramolecular systems—liposomes, niosomes, cyclodextrins, nano- and microparticles, and solid-lipid nanoparticles—and leverages FDA-approved biomaterials with lipids and polymers to develop innovative dosage forms that improve bioavailability, stability, safety, and patient compliance. He has mentored numerous doctoral and postgraduate scholars and led industry collaborations and government-funded projects. Notable products include cycloencapsulated andrographolide for immune support and a veterinary spray for bovine mastitis. He has authored a robust body of peer-reviewed papers and book chapters, holds several patents, and has edited nanotechnology-focused volumes. A recognized educator and researcher, he actively contributes as a peer reviewer and advances pharmaceutical science and education through programs like SRIP. Whilst a wide range of applications are being taken up, the special emphasis is given to augment the aqueous solubility and bioavailability of lipophilic drugs. Dr. Tathagata Dutta has earned his M.Pharm and PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Dr. Hari Singh Gour University, Sagar and completed his postdoctoral studies from School of Pharmacy & Diamantina Institute for cancer, Immunology and Metabolic Medicine, University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia and was engaged in development of RNAi therapeutics for effective management of cancer. He has served as Chief Scientific Officer (CSO), Vice President (R&D), Executive Director, Managing Director & CEO of several reputed Multinational Pharmaceutical Companies for more than two decades. He is the editorial board member of several international journals on drug discovery & delivery research. His research interests include novel drug delivery systems, dendrimers, liposomes, polymer bioconjugates, tissue targeted drug delivery systems, nano drug delivery systems, gene therapy, genetic immunization, depot injections, gene delivery, and development of RNAi therapeutics. Presently, he is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of JODAS EXPOIM Pvt Ltd. Dr. Sodhi has a doctorate in pharmacology with more than 14 years of experience in guiding the postgraduate students for scientific projects in an academic setting. While teaching, he strongly emphasizes the use of bioinformatics tools for literature survey, formulation of hypothesis, and guide students to publish their research work in peer reviewed journals. He currently serves as Vice-Chancellor of Maharaja Surajmal Brij University, Rajasthan, and is the Founder Director of the Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Center for Biomedical Research at the University of Delhi. Prof. Chandra has held prominent positions including Vice-Chancellor of Bundelkhand University and Head of the Department of Chemistry at the University of Delhi. He has also served as an official resource person to the Minister and Department of Science and Technology in Lesotho, South Africa. His research career spans prestigious institutions such as Cornell University, Rockefeller University, Harvard Medical School, and MIT. Le déclencheur de la maladie est la présence d'un biofilm microbien complexe qui colonise les régions sulculaires entre la surface de la dent et la marge gingivale par le biais d'interactions d'adhérence spécifiques et d'une accumulation due à des changements architecturaux dans le sulcus. Porphyromonas gingivalis est l'espèce la plus fortement associée à la forme chronique de la parodontite, et peut être détectée jusqu'à 85% des sites de la maladie. La capacité de P. gingivalis à moduler la cascade inflammatoire immunitaire de l'hôte en inhibant l'IL-8 des cellules épithéliales gingivales en fait un pathogène clé dans l'orchestration de la réponse de l'hôte. Auslöser der Erkrankung ist das Vorhandensein eines komplexen mikrobiellen Biofilms, der die Sulkusbereiche zwischen der Zahnoberfläche und dem Zahnfleischrand durch spezifische Adhärenzinteraktionen und Akkumulation aufgrund architektonischer Veränderungen im Sulkus besiedelt. Porphyromonas gingivalis ist die Spezies, die am stärksten mit der chronischen Form der Parodontitis assoziiert ist, und kann in bis zu 85 % der Krankheitsherde nachgewiesen werden. Die Fähigkeit von P. gingivalis, die immunologische Entzündungskaskade des Wirts zu modulieren, indem er IL-8 aus den Epithelzellen der Gingiva hemmt, macht ihn zum Schlüsselerreger bei der Orchestrierung der Wirtsreaktion.
