Ecofisiología de Ipomoea pescaprae en la costa oriental de la India

Los autores han llevado a cabo un amplio estudio en la franja costera del golfo de Bengala, en la India, durante los últimos ocho años sobre la ecología y la fisiología del estrés de la campanilla de playa, Ipomoea pescaprae. En este libro se describe con detalle la ecofisiología de esta planta pionera que actúa como aglutinante natural del suelo en la vegetación de las dunas costeras. En él se describen diferentes aspectos, como la zonificación de las dunas costeras de la zona en cuestión, las amenazas a la vegetación autóctona y la destrucción gradual de la cubierta vegetal, y se proponen algunas estrategias de conservación pertinentes. En este libro se ilustran detalladamente todo tipo de diversificaciones encontradas en la campanilla de playa.

Ecophysiology of Ipomoea pescaprae in the eastern coastline of India

An extensive survey has been carried out by the authors in the coastal belt of Bay-of-Bengal, India for last eight years about the ecology and stress physiology of Beach Morning Glory, Ipomoea pescaprae. The details report about the ecophysiology of this pioneer natural soil binder at the coastal sand dune vegetation has been described in this book. Different aspects including zonation of the coastal sand dune of the particular area, threats to the native vegetation and gradual destruction of the vegetation cover were reported and some relevant conservation strategies has been proposed in this book. All sorts of diversifications found in beach morning glory were illustrated elaborately in this book.
