The Desert 400 is a V8 Supercar motor racing event and presently one of two V8 Supercar events held outside of Australasia. The race is held at the Bahrain International Circuit in Manama, Bahrain. Having run on the circuit's Paddock variation on the series' first three visits, the 2010 Desert 400 will run on the Grand Prix layout.

It was held on the weekend of the 23rd to the 25th of March at Barbagallo Raceway in Wanneroo, north of Perth, Western Australia. The round was significant in that John Bowe became the driver with the most round starts in the championship after passing Peter Brock. It was also significant in that it was Paul Radisich's first round after a major crash at Bathurst in 2006. Qualifying was held on Saturday the 25th March 2007.

The 2009 Falken Tasmania Challenge was the fourth race meeting of the 2009 V8 Supercar Championship Series. It contained Rounds 7 and 8 of the series and was held on the weekend of May 29-31 at Symmons Plains Raceway, near Launceston, in northern Tasmania. The new race formats for 2009 saw two Rounds to be held over the weekend, with a 101 kilometre race held as Round 7 on Saturday, with a 202 kilometre race held on Sunday as Round 8.

In a change from the first round, the qualifying procedure was changed with a qualifying session to be held for each of the two races, instead of one session for both races.
