    Dennis Tufano

Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Dennis Stanley Joseph Tufano (born September 11, 1946) is the original lead singer of the 1960s rock group The Buckinghams, and has been a solo performer since the early 1980s. Dennis Tufano was born in Chicago, Illinois. He attended St. Sylvester grade school at 3027 W. Palmer Square, Chicago; and Gordon Tech High School at 3633 N. California Ave., Chicago. He inherited his musical talents from his father, who was also a singer, and who played the violin, saxophone and harmonica. The Chicago band scene included clubs, high school dances, battle of the band contests and local hit parade shows. Many burgeoning bands competed for local radio airplay and a chance at stardom. Dennis Tufano was part of the Chicago rock and roll band invasion to hit the charts in the late 1960s. He was a member of The Pulsations (early to mid-1960s) with Jon Poulos (1947-1980).

  7. New Apocalyptics

    New Apocalyptics

Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. The New Apocalyptics were a poetry grouping in the UK in the 1940s, taking their name from the anthology The New Apocalypse (1939), which was edited by J. F. Hendry (1912-1986) and Henry Treece. There followed the further anthologies The White Horseman (1941) and Crown and Sickle (1944). Others closely associated were the Scottish (as Hendry was) poets G. S. Fraser and Norman MacCaig. There was quite an overlap, in fact with the Scottish Renaissance group of writers, though not necessarily by publication in London. Others sometimes mentioned in this connection include Ruthven Todd, Tom Scott, Hamish Henderson, Edwin Morgan, Burns Singer, and William Montgomerie. This grouping was fairly represented in Modern Scottish Poetry (1946). Welsh and Irish poets were also prominent.

Mura mura.

    Tommy Scott (American Football)

High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Thomas "Tommy" Lawrence Scott (?-1962) was the very first head coach of the Old Dominion Monarchs football team (then known as the "Braves"), which was established in 1930 and discontinued after 1940 for eligibility and debt concerns. He coached the Braves to a 62-19-4 record during his tenure, including a 9-1-0 record in 1932 that resulted in an accidental trip to play in the Orange Bowl against the Miami Hurricanes. The Braves lost 6-2.Aside from coaching football at Old Dominion, Scott also coached the track, baseball and men's basketball teams despite the fact that there were no facilities to practice on for any of the programs. The Braves had to play on makeshift fields and use hand-me-down uniforms from the College of William & Mary. He retired from teaching and coaching in 1941 to pursue a business career.

Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Footrot Flats: The Dog's Tail Tale (also called Footrot Flats: The Dog's Tale) is a 1986 New Zealand animated film, based on cartoonist Murray Ball's popular comic strip, "Footrot Flats". It was New Zealand's first feature-length animated film. Wal's girlfriend, Cheeky, is driving along the highway and is driven off the road by the Murphys who are flying in a helicopter. Later, the Murphys terrorize Wal Footrot's property (voiced by John Clarke), leaving The Dog to drown in a sheep pit. As he is in the sheep pit, he has a flashback of when he was a little pup: how he was united with Wal for the first time, and how he met Jess. Soon, Wal wakes The Dog up and Cooch and the dogs manage to foil the Murphys who were planning to capture Cooch's deer.
