Internet, E-Mail, Newsletter - mit der Popularität des Internets ist die deutsche Computerfachsprache um eine Vielzahl englischstämmiger Termini reicher geworden. Ein großes Potenzial für diesen Spracheinfluss birgt das Übersetzen englischer Fachliteratur. Dabei können Lücken im Wortschatz der Zielsprache durch die Übernahme oder die Nachbildung des Originalterminus gefüllt werden. Für die vorliegende Arbeit wurde der internetspezifische Wortschatz auf der Basis von in Übersetzungsrelation stehenden Texten erhoben. Diesen dokumentiert ein englisch-deutsches Terminologieverzeichnis, das Art und Ausmaß der Beteiligung des Englischen an der Genese des deutschen Fachwortschatzes evident macht. Zugleich wird die große Relevanz des Übersetzungsbereichs für entlehnungsbezogene Studien deutlich.
