My biggest learning experience was that if I kept my sense of humor, there was never a location or a situation that didn't have a lighter side.This little offering is a collection of snapshots of my and my sailor, Faye's journey through that life, starting from the time that I was born-into a military family-until I retired from my own service of over thirty-five years.

Mit dieser Monografie soll das künstlerische Schaffen von Rudolf Moroder-Rudolfine und seiner Frau Finy Moroder-Martiner in Erinnerung gerufen und gewürdigt werden. Die kreative Tätigkeit der beiden Künstler aus dem Grödnertal kann man als Selbstfindung bezeichnen. In ihrem Werk steckt die Suche nach grundsätzlichen Antworten auf Fragen des Daseins. Dabei schufen sie Werke abseits der traditionellen Grödner Holzschnitzkunst. Das leidenschaftliche Gestalten und die Suche nach Neuem war stets Inhalt ihres Lebens. Rudolf und Finy Moroder waren ab 1949 über mehrere Jahrzehnte Mitglieder des Südtiroler Künstlerbundes. Für beide war der Künstlerbund eine wichtige Plattform, die den Dialog und den Gedankenaustausch mit den Künstlerkollegen ermöglicht hat. Durch den Südtiroler Künstlerbund haben sich über Ausstellungen, Studienreisen und Symposien befruchtende Verknüpfungen zum offenen Kulturgroßraum ergeben.
